Client is recruiting a business immigration paralegal!

Client a legal firm specializing in immigration law and sports law, is looking for a dynamic and motivated paralegal to complete its team!

About Us

Our young and dynamic team, made up of five (5) lawyers, supports numerous companies in the temporary or permanent immigration process of their employees in various sectors.

Responsibilities/what We Are Looking For

As an immigration paralegal at client, you will be responsible for:

Assist lawyers in the technical preparation of files related to immigration law (filling out forms, filing and reviewing documents, etc.);

Carry out in-depth legal research to support ongoing cases;

Prepare and draft legal documents, contracts and correspondence;

Prepare communications with clients and stakeholders to gather information and provide updates on files;

Participate in meetings with lawyers to discuss legal strategies;

Manage file deadlines and calendars to ensure effective monitoring;

Conduct regular monitoring of relevant legal developments in immigration and sports law and attend relevant conferences;

Find out and keep up to date with new changes to immigration legislation;

Act as liaison for the client with various government authorities and/or administrative organizations (e.g.: immigration services, embassies, Service Canada, etc.)

Required Requirements

Diploma of college studies (DEC);

Two (2) years of relevant experience as a business immigration paralegal;

Legal research and business writing skills;

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with meticulous attention to detail;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;

Mastery of IT tools and software/legal resources.
