About this Position

This role is responsible for leading, managing, coordinating and implementing the customer scope of work within a designated area, to provide exceptional Janitorial Services. You will also be responsible for increasing revenue from existing customers and managing a mobile workforce.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation plans for customer (i.e. waxing schedules, budgets, potential add on sales opportunities)
• Build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors
• Responsible for training subcontractors and employees on required legislated training (WHMIS, Health & Safety, etc.) and United cleaning specific training
• Lead all process initiatives and work with senior management to identify trends and process gaps
• Analyze and control store budgets, monitor expenses for operations and develop strategies to decrease costs and increase profitability at store level
• Implement transitions of new business in customer locations in compliance with transition process
• Support in Hiring/Recruitment/Training/Performance Management/Termination of subcontractors
• Work in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation

Job Requirements

• Available to address customer and subcontractor needs and concerns in a timely manner
• Ability to work flexible shifts on a rotation basis including evenings and nights
• Willing to travel frequently within the designated territory
• Ability to work in a fast-paced & high stress environment and solve problems effectively
• Valid driver’s licence and good driving record

• Business acumen, strong verbal and written communication skills
• Active listening skills, time management, leadership skills, autonomy, competent with technology
• Managing budgeting & costing within janitorial operational environments
• Knowledge of floor-care and cleaning procedures is an asset
• Ability to motivate a mobile team of subcontractors

Education/Experience

• Degree in business administration or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Janitorial industry or any other dynamic operational environment
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role
