This position is responsible for supporting the hotel General Manager with all aspects of operations including financial performance of the property and guest satisfaction. This hands-on position will act as the General Manager in their absence, provide direction to Dept Managers, and guide the property in continuous improvement of service standards, increasing sales, and reducing costs. Any individual holding a position at this level in the Canad Inns family must at all times and in all aspects of their responsibilities be committed to strive for the very highest customer service standards, always be proactively looking for more sales while ever searching for innovative methods of controlling costs.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Supports and assists the hotel General Manager.
- Leads, guides, directs, and is responsible for all aspects of the property.
- Implements plans, projections, and budgets in the absence of the General Manager.
- Plan, organize, direct, audit, and control operations in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives of the corporation.
- Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate staff.
- Responsible for health and safety of guests and staff through training, communication, daily and monthly inspections, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the property.
- Post-secondary designation in Hospitality management or a related discipline.
- 4 years of hotel management experience, including room management.
- Ability to manage change effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead a complex integrated business operation that has diverse profit centres.
