What we offer

Reporting to the Warranty Service Manager, the Assistant Warranty Manager at Mattamy Homes is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of warranty service and homeowner service requests as part of achieving the Mission to provide The Best Homeowner Experience.

What you’ll do

  • Provide exceptional leadership to a team of Community Coordinators and New Home Technicians through daily coaching, recognition, and communication.
  • Partner with Human Resources and Warranty Managers in all recruitment efforts for the Warranty team.
  • Assist in management of 30 day and Year-End Warranty Service Requests (W.S.R.).
  • Inspect and review incoming Tarion 30 day and Year-End service request forms. Attend Customer’s home where required to evaluate deficiency.
  • Inspect work completed by customer service representatives based on an agreed upon schedule and provide ongoing guidance and technical support / advice.
  • Assist in monitoring, ordering and ensuring proper stock of service repair materials.
  • Collect and review completed W.S.R.’s from service appointment and provide information to Warranty Administrator for any follow up work days if required.
  • Regular daily visit to Warranty Technician appointments to monitor progress and to maximize opportunity to strengthen relationship with customer.
  • Participate in all Community Mattamy University sessions.
  • Meet with Warranty Service Manager to review outstanding W.S.R.’s and other construction / warranty service issues.
  • Conduct homeowner occupancy and QA inspections when needed.

What you bring

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership role providing leadership to a minimum of 2 direct reports is required.
  • Post-secondary education / Community College industry related diploma or suitable combination of both.
  • 2 or more years of experience in a customer service representative, handyman or construction role, with strong preference given to those in the homebuilding industry.
  • Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet e-mail.
  • Ability to use create metrics and analyze data to support team performance.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage variable workloads in a high volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to resolve problems effectively and deal professionally with customers and employees.
  • Valid driver’s license essential and willingness to travel daily to assigned site.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written to convey appropriate response and build relationships with our customers.
