We are currently recruiting a Senior Project Manager to manage projects on-site in Northern Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and strategic objectives. This role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and budgeting while maintaining compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, organization, direction, control, and evaluation of complex construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, specifications, and budgets
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive project budget estimates, including financial forecasting and cost management strategies
  • Monitor project deliverables and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions as necessary to achieve project goals
  • Establish and communicate project timelines and key milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and set deadlines
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports to clients and team members, facilitating transparency and informed decision-making
  • Recruit, mentor, and supervise subcontractors and project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of contract documents, including general contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance and effective risk management
  • Proactively identify and address potential project risks and challenges, implementing innovative solutions to drive project success
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to ensure project alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices
  • Monitor and oversee purchasing and expediting for the project, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years Project Management experience
  • Minimum 5 years General Contractor experience
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects ($15+ Million)
  • Strong knowledge of Contract Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, Project Controls, Change Management, Client Management
  • Willing to stay in camp accommodations as required
  • Willing to work in remote locations
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada
