We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Quality Experience Leader to drive the improvement of patient care quality and operational efficiency across our organization. This role involves leading initiatives that focus on clinical appropriateness, safety, patient experience, and performance improvement. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, experienced in applying quality improvement methodologies, and passionate about creating a culture of continuous enhancement in patient care.


ROLE

  • Support and drive corporate and local initiatives to enhance quality, patient safety, and performance improvement across the organization
  • Proactively identify and prioritize areas for operational efficiency, clinical appropriateness, and patient care enhancement
  • Encourage teams in utilizing quality improvement methodologies (e.g., PDSA, LEAN, root cause analysis) to improve clinical outcomes, safety, and workflow efficiency
  • Assist teams in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting performance data to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators and outcome metrics to ensure continuous improvement in patient care
  • Guide clinical teams through change processes using proven change management principles to implement and sustain improvements
  • Work closely with risk management on patient safety initiatives, ensuring timely identification and mitigation of risks
  • Provide education and training to staff and physicians to build quality improvement knowledge and foster a culture of continuous learning

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in a health-related field or equivalent experience required
  • 3 years of experience leading quality improvement projects in a healthcare setting
  • Project management or LEAN certification recommended
  • Understanding of quality improvement and patient safety methodologies
  • Multi-faith, multi-cultural awareness and Indigenous Cultural Sensitivity training
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software
  • Membership in a regulated professional college in Ontario an asset
  • Certified Risk Management designation is an asset

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

 

Location: Multi-Site, working in person at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis

 

Hours of Work: Shifts will be Monday to Friday 8 am - 4 pm, however shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements. You may also be required to be available evenings and weekends. 


Salary: $41.39 - $48.28
