Position Summary:

GroupM is the world's leading media investment company, responsible for maximizing the performance of WPP’s media agencies, including Mindshare, Wavemaker, EssenceMediacom, and mSix&Partners. We leverage data, technology, and strategic insights to drive media efficiency and business growth for our clients.

As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing financial and commercial data and providing strategic insights to drive business performance. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where data-driven decision-making is at the core of our success.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Commercial Analysis:

  • Analyze revenue streams, and profitability metrics to support business decisions.
  • Ensure Trinity data is up to date, capturing changes to compensation structures and employee movement between accounts.
  • Prepare and track staffing / FTEs report vs. contracts and budgets.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for Retainer Clients.

Reporting & Insights:

  • Assist with Local/Global reporting as required.
  • Prepare monthly time reports as per clients’ contractual agreements/ requirements.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist with inputs/updates into budgets/forecasts consolidation software (CoreM) and ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Assist Director, Commercial and Manager, Commercial in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Collaborate across the organization including other teams within finance to resolve issues, and to ensure commercial objectives are met.

Skills and Behavior:

Essential:

  • Experience in financial analysis, commercial strategy, or business analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI.
  • Understanding of media agency operations, media buying, and revenue models.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a media agency or advertising industry.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting tools like SAP, and Trinity.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Major in accounting, finance or business-related field is preferred.
  • 2-3 years related Commercial and FP&A work experience (with CPA designation or in progress).
  • Analysis and audit experience would be essential to the role.
