Marketing Specialist Job Description (Full-Time)

Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Reports To: Director, Brand Marketing

Overview: This position is responsible for driving high levels of fan engagement and generating targeted revenue for the Edmonton Elks Football Club by managing and executing Braze direct-to-consumer campaigns. The role is key in innovating marketable fan data acquisition strategies across ticketing, merchandise, partnerships, and community departments. Additionally, this position will provide support for web and social media efforts as needed.

Key Accountabilities

• Focusing on key lifecycle stages including welcome, upsell, cross-sell and winback for ticketing and merchandise.
• Building, testing and sending campaigns across email, SMS and in-app messaging (including design, copywriting and A/B testing).
• Strategize and test direct-to-consumer campaigns throughout the marketable fan lifecycle.
• Segmenting and profiling fan database to improve marketing results, and drive insight and value from fan data.
• Working in conjunction with the data team to drive data innovation across all departments and campaigns.
• Assisting in marketable fan acquisition strategy and execution with various departments.
• Reviewing campaign performance and reporting on results to Director, Brand Marketing with actionable insights.
• Support web & social media efforts as needed.

• A creative and analytic individual with the ability to turn data into insights.
• Effective project management skills, with the ability to work with and manage multiple stakeholders
• Desire to stay up-to-date with trends, technologies and innovation in the CRM and sports industry.
  
  

Experience

• Exposure to managing campaigns end to end with an understanding of audience engagement
• Experience using Braze, Mailchimp, or other CRM platforms
• Design experience with Photoshop would be an advantage
• Photography skills would be considered an asset
  
  

Education & Training

• Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a Marketing-related discipline.
