Job Description

We have an exciting temporary opportunity available for a Marketing Intern to work hybrid out of our Burlington, Ontario corporate office. This role will further your marketing experience over the summer with a leading QSR brand. This position provides a learning opportunity in several aspects of marketing. Key responsibilities supporting the execution of DQ cause marketing campaigns including Miracle Treat Day and Round Up campaigns, helping to plan and co-ordinate marketing initiatives. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to support product development through compiling competitive reviews and test coordination. The ideal candidate will be in a marketing career stream and have excellent organization, communication, analytical, and project management skills. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where they will be required to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and accomplish these tasks with high level of detail and accuracy.

The internship is from May to end of August.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Support Associate Marketing Manager in executing Miracle Treat Day and Round Up Campaigns
  • Assist with Public Relations initiatives including support required for media outlets
  • Support execution of gift card Blizzard pre-orders
  • Attend cause marketing meetings and document meeting highlights and action points
  • Assist with the execution of Funding Innovation
  • Provide a post event analysis of event including all aspects of Miracle Treat Day

Competitive Analysis and Product Testing

  • Research the competitive landscape as it relates to Foodservice and the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry
  • Will be required to visit other QSRs to purchase competitive product offerings on in office days
  • Support Brand Marketing in test execution through gathering competitive data as it relates to the test product and other duties as it relates to product market tests

Qualifications

Completed or working towards a degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Public Relations.

Work experience (paid, volunteer, co-op etc.).

Strong written communication skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team.

Capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints.

Additional Information

Work Environment:

Most positions located out of our corporate office in Burlington, Ontario will work a hybrid work schedule where you will work 2 collaboration days a week. Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs. Positions will be identified as “remote eligible” when consideration will be given to candidates outside of drivable distance to our Burlington, Ontario office.
