Client Details
Our client, a well-established construction firm, is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the estimating process for a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Description
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects across various sectors.
- Oversee the preconstruction process, evaluating project scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage tendering processes, analyze bid submissions, negotiate with subcontractors, and finalize contracts.
- Provide cost analysis and value engineering to optimize budgets and project efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to align estimates with project requirements.
- Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to optimize project costs.
- Utilize historical data, unit pricing, and productivity factors to establish benchmark estimates.
- Track and analyze project costs, timelines, and performance for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on market trends, material prices, and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor junior estimators, sharing expertise and best practices.
Profile
- 10+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Strong experience in preconstruction, tenders, and construction management.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Leadership experience is a plus.
