Client Details

Our client, a well-established construction firm, is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the estimating process for a diverse range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

Description

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects across various sectors.
  • Oversee the preconstruction process, evaluating project scope, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage tendering processes, analyze bid submissions, negotiate with subcontractors, and finalize contracts.
  • Provide cost analysis and value engineering to optimize budgets and project efficiency.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to align estimates with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to optimize project costs.
  • Utilize historical data, unit pricing, and productivity factors to establish benchmark estimates.
  • Track and analyze project costs, timelines, and performance for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on market trends, material prices, and industry standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior estimators, sharing expertise and best practices.

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong experience in preconstruction, tenders, and construction management.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
