Technical Sales Representative

Centrix Control Solutions has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and supporting our world class product lines. Based in our Edmonton office, the successful candidate will be responsible for a set territory inclusive of Edmonton and a portion of Northern Alberta covering a diverse group of customers including EPCs, OEMs, refineries, oil & gas process facilities, power generating facilities and major pipeline operations.

• Account Manager for existing customer base.
• Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand installed product market share.
• Provide technical support on products and promote various Centrix service offerings.
• Perform internal / external product seminars and presentations.
• Increase sales and profitability in assigned territory.
• Liaise with principal manufacturers.
• Participate in industry associations.
• Self-motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn and promote new sales.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Computer skills; Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work with difficult customers and resolve problems and issues.
• Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Ability to travel frequently out of town and overnight.
• BSc in Engineering or Technology Diploma.
• Minimum 3 years associated industry experience.
• Previous technical sales experience is an asset.
• Previous experience with Control Valves, Relief Valves or Custody Transfer Measurement would be advantageous.
• Clean drivers abstract with an affinity for safety.
