Job Type Full Time, Seasonal

Schedule 10+ hours per day, 5 & 2 or 6 & 1, OT after 10 hr/day or 40 hr/week

Requirements

• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Clean Driver’s Abstract, Valid Driver’s License

Project Superintendent (Civil Industrial Division) Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more year’s combined field experience in Civil Construction (earthworks and/or underground utilities) and a strong ability in mechanical skills
• Minimum of five (5) years as a superintendent in heavy civil construction
• Effective leadership skills with a strong focus on operations and business processes
• Ability to plan and manage to a project schedule
• Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs, investigate the underlying causes and identify short/long term solutions
  
  
  

Project Superintendent (Civil Industrial Division) Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction operations with the ability to utilize available equipment while maintaining a schedule and completing critical tasks
• Supervise the foreman’s daily activities; ensuring their crews tasks are performed efficiently
• Ensuring all safety practice and procedures are followed by generating site-specific safety protocols
• Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
• Coordinating and managing scheduling conflicts between sub-contractors
• Maintaining records of daily construction activities, including worker timesheets, daily progress reports and safety documentation
• Maintaining positive and professional relationships with external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations
• Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture
