Join Our Team as a Technical Product Specialist at Epiroc!

Epiroc’s Attachments Division (ATD) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Technical Product Specialist to join our team. This role combines technical expertise, hands-on troubleshooting, and customer-focused support to ensure optimal product performance and satisfaction. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, reducing costs, and highlighting the value and capabilities of our products while identifying opportunities to promote new sales. This position requires significant travel (up to 50%), including weekends and overnight stays, to deliver exceptional service and support to customers.

Work Type: This position is remote and open to candidates located within Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate service activities to investigate and resolve technical problems, providing on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to effectively execute repairs, utilizing test equipment and tooling to diagnose faults in attachment systems and hydraulic components.
  • Document service activities and maintain detailed reports in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), while delivering hands-on demonstrations of product performance, operation, and servicing capabilities.
  • Offer timely troubleshooting and product support via phone or on-site visits, addressing customer concerns and providing solutions both remotely and on-site.
  • Collaborate with management and technical teams to resolve issues, improve customer satisfaction, and provide feedback on product design and service improvements.
  • Assist with warranty claims, parts needs, and stocking guidelines, while promoting new products and services to address customer needs and identify sales opportunities.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with customers, offering exceptional communication and support throughout all interactions.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Previous experience in maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, particularly in the demolition/recycling, mining or construction sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with rock drilling, cutting, loading, hauling, ventilation, and material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and technical issues in complex machinery.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service skills, with a track record of effectively communicating with clients and providing technical support.
  • Technical certifications or training in mechanical engineering, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field.

Work Environment:

This role involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions, moving machinery, fumes, and occasional high or confined spaces. Safety equipment and adherence to safety protocols are required
