What to Expect:

We are looking for a Key Account Manager based at our Head Office in Brampton, Ontario reporting into the Loblaw Team Leader for Impulse Categories. This role is responsible for driving profitable sales for the Imported Waters Category.

A day in the life:

As a Key Account Manager, you will be working on our Loblaw customer team. This role is a great opportunity to grow and develop your sales experience. You will be involved in joint business planning in line with the growth and success of the Premium Waters business.

You will also:

  • Develop and achieve the sales business plan for the business by implementing the strategy, managing total trade spend by category, and achieving agreed shelf, distribution, and promotional targets.
  • Analyse, identify, monitor, and address specific issues to achieve Nestlé’s goals for sales, commercial spend, share, distribution, and operating budgets.
  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.
  • Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, including managing trade budgets, spending, and volume to achieve all sales objectives versus plan.
  • Enter all relevant customer and category promotion plans into the Customer Management Tool in a timely manner to enable demand planners with their forecasting responsibilities.
  • Drive pre and post promotion evaluation to increase ROI/ROS.
  • Be accountable for the strategic account plan, based on internal objectives, marketing, business development, and shopper marketing plans, as well as external competitive marketplace issues and opportunities.
  • Effectively manage internal and external relationships, meeting the agreed level of customer contact with all involved parties.

Role Requirements:

As the successful candidate, you will be the champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will already have great Sales and Account Management experience, coupled with your highly organised, dynamic approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market.

  • 5+ years within sales and account management, with a proven track record of delivering business results from a Consumer Goods Company
  • Solid hands-on experience in an analytical role, previous experience in a financial analysis/planning role an asset
  • Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
  • Proficient in gathering data and storytelling to deliver actionable insights.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. SAP and Power BI is an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.
  • Post secondary education in Business Administration or any related field
  • Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities.
