A Day in the Life

As a Transportation Administrator Lead, you will provide support for a 3PL provider specializing in action sports/outdoor. The candidate should have a strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. The Transportation Administrator Lead will perform and support the Transportation Data Entry Clerks in performing reconciliations and data entry functions to ensure the accuracy of the invoices we receive from our carriers.

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM

All About You

What you will bring to the role:

  • Excellent MS Excel, Word and Outlook skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication required and inter-personal skills a must
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of WMS system is preferable or other type of Warehouse Management system.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently to meet company deadlines.
  • Require strong time management and organization skills.
  • Experience in leading personnel to ensure all assigned activities are performed effectively and efficiently
  • Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Trustworthy and moral character.

The Must Haves:

  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Must have physical ability to carry out essential job functions, including but not limited to, sitting for long periods of time, occasionally walking and standing, climbing ladders/stairs, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc. when stepping into the warehouse.

Things You Will Be Doing

  • Transportation
  • Prepares large data sets for review and approval
  • Performs Invoice Reconciliation
  • Assists with data entry
  • Troubleshoots discrepancies, anomalies or issues.
  • Leadership
  • Exchanges information with other employees of the organization and external contacts.
  • In collaboration with the Controller, communicates expectations to team members and monitors the daily performance of their area.
  • Collaborates with IT, Transportation, Finance, Business Development, and Operations to address issues and implement process changes, controls, or other solutions.
  • Ensures there is training, cross-training and development of team members.
  • Ensures best practice specific to their area of accountability.
  • Focuses on process improvement that will drive efficiency, quality, and reduction of waste.
