Data Science Analyst

We are looking for a data science analyst to join the data development and science team.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Manager, Data Science.

Your Moneris Career - What You'll Do

• Under guidance deploy models and solutions within the data science environment understanding pipeline controls, and documentation around intent and usage of model or algorithm
• Support the research, design, and construct predictive models to enhance understanding of Moneris core business and adjacent opportunities such as transaction monitoring and consumer behavior
• Use statistical techniques to improve marketing, product development, or overall Moneris strategies
• Deploy models with understanding of the deployment context and correct implementation procedures
• Under the direction, conduct data science analysis and reporting to analytics teams
• Participate with business teams in the center of excellence on data science sharing best practice, new approaches, and successes
• Enhance the current data science context by exploring and using new techniques and assessing the validity in the Moneris context
• Follow standard procedures and practices to comply with Moneris policies and regulations
• Collaborate in a team to enhance process efficiency, remove barriers that slow down the work, and successfully implement required changes
  
  

Your Moneris Career - What You Bring

• No prior work experience is needed but volunteer experiences, personal projects, academic involvements or any other experiences that highlight your traits would be valued
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark
• Professional experience with Power BI
• Knowledge or experience in model development
