You would act a Senior Software QA Specialist for FortiGate Cloud team where we are revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape by providing world-class cloud solutions. The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $85,000 - $115,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.

You would act a Senior Software QA Specialist for FortiGate Cloud team where we are revolutionizing the cybersecurity landscape by providing world-class cloud solutions. You’ll help drive our commitment to software quality, ensuring that our cloud-based security products meet the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to delivering exceptional cloud security solutions to our clients.
As a Senior Software QA Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for FortiGate Cloud products, with a strong focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) testing.
- Perform end-to-end testing of new and existing features, ensuring all components of the platform function seamlessly.
- Work closely with product management and development teams to identify and resolve software defects.
- Collaborate in reviewing and refining documentation, ensuring that test procedures, test cases, and bug reports are thoroughly detailed.
- Execute manual and automated tests on APIs, databases, and networking components.
- Identify and analyze root causes of defects, providing actionable insights to improve product quality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking, database technologies, and cloud-based applications.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices in software quality assurance.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software testing, particularly with SaaS platforms.
- Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database technologies and query languages (SQL, etc.).
- API Testing: Hands-on experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on identifying even the smallest inconsistencies or potential defects.
- Documentation Skills: Strong documentation habits with a keen eye for writing clear, concise, and actionable reports.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Test Automation (a plus): Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Python, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and services, especially in the cybersecurity domain.
- Experience working in agile environments and using version control tools like Git.
