The Human Resource Business Partner is responsible for providing onsite support to Montreal Plant personnel in the areas of HR and safety. The person in this role will play a key role in the strategic and operational management of human resources in the areas of recruitment, employee onboarding, employee engagement and training, performance management, leave administration, regulatory/audit compliance, and safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as an onsite HR partner, supporting employees and management in all HR and safety-related matters.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing employee development programs.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to supervisors on performance management and employee relations.
  • Oversee leave administration, compliance with labor laws, and pay equity programs.
  • Act as the emergency point of contact for workplace incidents and support worker’s compensation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and provincial regulations.
  • Organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and community service initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual-French and English proficiency required
