LOCATION: Cambridge, London, Calgary (Remote), Vancouver

POSITION: Commercial Lines Underwriter

What you will do

• Underwrite and evaluate Commercial Lines risks for new and existing business.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our distribution partners, delivering exceptional customer service experience.
• Maintain quality and profitability of our portfolio and refer all risks outside established authority level.
• Review Loss Control report and apply Risk Management practices in underwriting process.
• Respond to inquiries regarding modifications to policy files within our service level agreement.

What you will bring

• Minimum 3 years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to interact in a professional manner to develop long-term relationships with our partners
• Ability to be self-motivated and proactively pursue potential business opportunities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with Professional Lines and/or Medical Malpractice Underwriting is an asset
• Post-secondary education (insurance, business, or related disciplines)
