Education Assistant
The Burnaby School District is seeking qualified Education Assistants for on-callassignments.
Responsibilities
Education Assistants are responsible for providing support for students in and out of the classroom, and within the community. Specifically, assistance is provided in the following:
Behaviour management
Curriculum implementation
Social skills development
Personal care
Physical assistance
Required Qualifications
To be considered, candidates must have the following:
Successful completion of a recognized program in special needs assistance (eg. Education Assistant Program);
One (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of training and/or
experience;
Good verbal and written communication skills;
Physical ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the job
Hourly Rate: $35.11 per hour.
