IT Help Desk Assistant

Purpose: The IT Help Desk Assistant provides customer service, technical, and administrative support for the Office of the Dean under the direction of the Director, Information Technology.
Education: Completion of the 1st year in a post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field to acquire customer and technical support skills.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in technical support, IT help desk, or related field.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information.
- Ability to provide instruction and support others in developing knowledge or skills.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills to carry out a variety of tasks.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting of technology and equipment (Computer hardware, software, peripherals and A/V).
- Ability to learn and use a variety of computer applications.

- Ability to lift items up to 25lbs
