Investigate all types of personal lines and commercial lines claims, assess damages and negotiate settlements on behalf of insurance companies or self-insureds.

Required Training, Knowledge and Experience

• Valid AMF claims adjuster's license
• At least 3 to 5 years' experience in third-party liability claims settlement
• Valid driver's license
• Bilingualism an asset

Responsibilities

• Gather versions of events from insureds and/or witnesses/third parties by questioning them tactfully and vigilantly, in accordance with our clients' quality and customer service standards.
• Investigate the facts and circumstances to determine the cause and responsibility of the loss; communicate well-founded recommendations to customers.
• Ascertain and determine the extent of damage in accordance with our customers' standards.
• Negotiate a fair and satisfactory settlement for all parties involved.
• Participate in business development by meeting regularly with existing clients.
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with established work standards, policies and procedures.
