Position Information

This position is supporting the Director and the Director's team for the Maternal and Newborn Care Program.

Rotation/Shifts

Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

• Two (2) year Community College diploma or undergraduate degree in Nursing, Commerce, Statistics or Economics;
• Three (3) years of previous experience in office administration;
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook;
• Successful completion of TOH medical terminology self-directed learning program or certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution;
• Basic math skills;
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent judgment and time management skills in prioritizing appointments, meetings and organizing workload to ensure completion of tasks;
• Ability to plan and organize work efficiently and effectively, anticipate needs and react quickly to new circumstances i.e. changes to scheduled appointments; accuracy, flexibility and adaptability, even as priorities change and urgencies intervene;
• A detailed-oriented approach to his/her work, with exceptional problem-solving skills;
• Ability to schedule and coordinate meetings within an environment of conflicting and frequently changing schedules and multiple locations, to secure meeting facilities, audio-visual equipment, room set-up and to arrange for meeting materials and tracks meeting expenses, etc.;
• Superior skills in note taking and minute writing;
• Eligible to work in Canada.

• Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
