Reporting to the VP, GM, the Manager, HR, and HSE plays a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the human resources and health, safety, and environment functions within the business unit and in alignment with corporate structure. This position is crucial in managing and implementing HR and HSE strategies and programs that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. The Manager, HR and HSE provides guidance and support to senior management, collaborates with various stakeholders to foster a positive and inclusive work environment, attract and retain top talent, and drive employee engagement and development.

- Administer and implement HR strategies and programs that align with the business unit and corporate strategic objectives.
- Provide senior management with expert HR guidance on tools, best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
- Partners with senior management to align HR initiatives with business goals, driving organizational culture and values.
- Oversee the administration of the business unit’s benefits programs.
- Collaborate with senior management to review and recommend job evaluations, salary adjustments, and incentive programs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HR laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular market analyses to maintain competitive and industry-aligned total compensation strategies.
- Manage the Merit and Employee Incentive program cycles, ensuring data accuracy and equitable outcomes.
- Lead the recruitment and talent selection process to attract and retain top-tier talent.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration for new employees.
- Execute yearly performance management initiatives, including performance guidelines and development plans.
- Provide leaders and employees with guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
- Administer employee recognition and reward programs to foster engagement and retention.
- Mitigate HR-related risks by maintaining robust policies, procedures, and controls.
- Leverage HR metrics and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee HR reporting and ensure data accuracy within the HRIS system.
- Responsible for implementing health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe work environment.
- Conducts risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Provides training and coaching to employees on health, safety, and environmental protocols to enhance awareness and reduce incidents.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to investigate incidents, develop corrective actions, and monitor the effectiveness of safety initiatives to prevent future occurrences.
- Occasionally may perform other related duties within the scope of the position as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in human resources, HSE with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in HR strategies, policies, and programs, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR compliance, and HR analytics.
- Experience in providing Strategic HR support and guidance to drive business success.
- Experience in navigating complex employee relations issues and implementing proactive employee engagement initiatives.
- Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR-related software (PMS…etc.) applications.
