We’re looking for a Senior Back End Developer to help us build and scale the backbone of how data moves through Fullscript. Our team makes sure the right data gets to the right place, in the right format, at the right time—powering several different systems and departments from analytics to automation to personalization.

This role is all about solving real problems—reducing duplication, improving data quality, and making it easier for teams across Fullscript to make data-driven decisions effectively. If you like digging into complex systems, simplifying messy data flows, and making a real impact, you’ll fit right in.

What you'll do:

• Work within our main Ruby on Rails app, integrating and optimizing workflows, APIs, and system-wide improvements that enhance how teams access and use data
• Collaborate across teams to solve business problems with practical technical solutions
• Build and optimize data flows, ensuring clean, reliable, and well-structured data flows into Snowflake and other downstream destinations
• Help improve and refine data models, making it easier for teams to query, analyze, and activate data without unnecessary complexity
• Mentor engineers, sharing knowledge and helping the team level up
  
  
  

What you bring to the table:

• You are a passionate software engineer who cares about your craft
• You are excited to learn, lead projects and want to produce the best work possible
• Proficiency in Ruby or another backend language (Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, etc.)
• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar data warehouses, including data modeling and performance optimization
• Strong problem-solving skills and a bias for clean, scalable solutions
• Ability to collaborate across teams and make technical concepts approachable
  
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with RETL/ETL workflows, identity resolution, or data orchestration
• Background in growth engineering, martech, or personalization
• Familiarity with Event streaming and Data routing platforms(such as Rudderstack, Segment, and Hightouch)
