The Internal Sales Specialist will partner with External Sales Specialists to cultivate relationships with key financial advisors within a specified channel and territory(s), with the goal of accelerating the adoption of Blackstone investment solutions. The Internal Sales Specialist will maintain a high level of contact with intermediary clients and prospects and will be the subject matter expert across one of the most diverse sets of private market offerings in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with External Sales Specialists to drive sales within assigned territory(s).
  • Cultivate relationships with financial advisors through high-quality interactions, including proactive and reactive calls, emails and follow-ups as well as limited in-person territory meetings.
  • Maintain a high-level of client service by answering inbound inquiries and working with the operations team to resolve specific account issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate Blackstone’s sophisticated products (fund objectives, terms, exposures, manager strategy, positioning, performance attribution, etc.)
  • Take a consultative approach in profiling financial advisors in order to understand their business, clients, and investment challenges to better match Blackstone solutions to their needs.
  • Work with External Sales specialists to establish and execute on territory plan(s) and utilize data to optimize engagement with financial advisors.
  • Utilize the CRM system to log all client/prospect related activity on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of work experience within the financial services industry required (asset management, wealth management or alternatives experience preferred)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and French (plus).
  • Demonstrated passion for capital markets and alternative investments.
  • Ability to perform at a high-level within a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture, with a focus on excellence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with web-based CRM technology (e.g. SalesForce).
