About you
Exciting opportunities are available for qualified Medical Oncologists who want to make a positive impact while working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, and supportive team. Positions are immediately available across New Zealand for Medical Oncologists.
We are looking for Medical Oncologists who are passionate about delivering quality care to our patients and working across a multi-disciplinary team. We have a collaborative and supportive healthcare system that has an integrated and cross-disciplinary way of working. Our oncology team closely with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and nurses to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
To work as a Medical Oncologist in New Zealand, you need to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and meet the equivalent requirements for a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).
Practitioners need to meet competency standards and hold Annual Practising Certificates (APCs) to work safely and effectively. More information on this can be found on our careers site, just search Oncologists.

Salary and Benefits
Medical Oncologists receive 6 weeks of annual leave and 12 paid public holidays giving you time to explore our beautiful country and raise a family in our diverse communities. Along with your base salary as a Medical Oncologist, you will have ongoing professional development and will work alongside a multi-disciplinary and supportive team.
- Medical Officers' annual salaries range from CA $116K - $171K (NZ $142K - NZ $210K) plus allowances.
- Medical Specialists' annual salaries range from CA $150K - $217K (NZ $185K - NZ $267K) plus allowances.
