The role
Our client’s mission is to design, build, and test high-performance systems that redefine the future of aerospace. As a Methods Engineer - Electrical, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes and engineering methods for electrical systems in aerospace applications. This is a full-time position with our company, but you will support a variety of clients in the transportation industry as a consultant, starting with the role mentioned above, located in Mirabel, Québec.
Your responsibilities
Our client’s mission is to design, build, and test high-performance systems that redefine the future of aerospace. As a Methods Engineer - Electrical, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes and engineering methods for electrical systems in aerospace applications. This is a full-time position with our company, but you will support a variety of clients in the transportation industry as a consultant, starting with the role mentioned above, located in Mirabel, Québec.
Your responsibilities
- Determine the most efficient method of producing electrical parts and assemblies based on engineering data, considering product requirements and manufacturing capabilities.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing sequences for electrical components, assemblies, and systems to ensure smooth production flow.
- Design and implement tooling for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and electrical details, ensuring they meet production standards.
- Incorporate necessary engineering changes and collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure modifications are properly implemented.
- Actively contribute to the activities of the broader Production Engineering (PE) team, supporting efforts across different departments as needed.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high quality standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
- Alternatively, a Diploma in Aeronautics (DEC) with a focus on electrical systems is also acceptable.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in aerospace systems or other similar sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, methods, and tooling within the aerospace industry or other similar sectors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve complex electrical system challenges and production issues.
- Participate in the transition to a more innovative and sustainable future.
- Ability to manage various projects for different clients across the transportation sectors.
