Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute Design Direction – Follow the creative direction provided by the Creative Director to develop design assets that align with the overall Logel Homes brand vision and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Team – Work closely with the Creative Director, Director of Sales & Marketing as well as the greater marketing team to conceptualize and execute design solutions across various platforms (digital, print, social media).
  • Ensure Brand Consistency – Apply brand guidelines consistently to all design materials to ensure that each asset reflects the brand’s identity across different mediums.
  • Incorporate Feedback and Refine Designs – Receive and implement feedback from the Creative Director and other team members (including Senior Management and Executives), revising designs to meet project goals and high-quality standards.

Teamwork

  • Contribute to Brainstorming Sessions – Participate in brainstorming sessions, offering creative ideas and input to help shape the direction of design projects in relation to over all marketing objectives.
  • Working collaboratively within the broader organization and marketing department contributing and assisting as needed, differing from Agency structure where your experience may have included strict creative team and account/strategic team division.
  • Support Design Development – Develop design concepts, layouts, and assets, ensuring that work is aligned with the creative direction and project objectives.
  • Manage Multiple Design Timelines and Deadlines—Balance multiple design projects and tasks, effectively managing time to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Maintain High Design Standards – Produce high-quality, visually compelling design work that meets or exceeds the expectations of the Creative Director, internal stakeholders and clients, and the brand’s standards.
  • Stay Current with Design Innovations – Continuously monitor the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, integrating contemporary ideas and best practices into your work to enrich the creative process.
  • Stay updated on homebuilding marketing trends. This team focuses on competitive solutions to drive growth, traffic to sales centres, tactical marketing efforts in support of sales, and overall brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments – Work with cross-functional teams including the marketing and sales, construction, and interior design teams, to ensure that design work supports broader sales and business goals and aligns with project needs.
  • Follow and Contribute to Design Systems – Use established design systems and templates to maintain brand consistency while also contributing ideas for new system enhancements as needed.
  • Engage in Communication with Stakeholders – Assist in gathering and documenting accurate feedback from internal stakeholders and incorporate their requirements into design work to align with their expectations and needs.
  • Work Across Multiple Projects – Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring that each project is delivered on time and aligns with both creative and business objectives.
  • Collaborate in Problem-Solving – Support the team in addressing design challenges, contributing to creative problem-solving and finding innovative solutions for design issues.
  • Transparency—Report on progress and share ongoing work: Regularly update the Creative Director on the status of design projects, ensuring that expectations are met and keeping the team informed of progress.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design - preferably with a background working in high efficiency
  • In-house team environment, marketing or advertising organization.
  • Experience managing and leading design projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, working with freelance producers, photographers, illustrators and mentoring junior designers.
  • Specific experience with marketing in the home building industry is considered an asset.
  • Portfolio showcasing a broad range of design projects (e.g., print, digital, branding).
  • Experience with Motion graphics, 3D design or Environmental, and experience in design for trade shows.
  • Store front, Sales center or retail design are all considered assets for this role.

Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier, After Effects, etc.).
  • Familiarity with UX design principles** and tools (e.g., Sketch-up, Figma, Adobe XD).
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and composition.
  • Knowledge of web design and development processes, HTML/CSS understanding is a plus.

Creative & Analytical Skills

  • Ability to develop creative concepts and execute designs that align with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Problem-solving abilities, especially when it comes to balancing creativity with client needs, project constraints, timelines and budget.

Project Management

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams and project managers within the organization to gain insight, understanding of dependencies and solutions to challenges

Communication & Leadership Skills

  • Strong communication skills to articulate design ideas and feedback to internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship to freelance, junior designers and production artists.
  • Client-facing experience, understanding client needs, and presenting design concepts effectively.

This position requires travel to the various developments/construction sites approximately 10-15% of the time.
