Here's how a(n) Financial Accountant for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Prepares ad hoc analysis and other reconciliations for senior executives
• Prepares quarterly and annual financial reports for use by management and internal stakeholders
• Performs accounting for subsidiary companies as needed
• Review and analyze third-party financial statements for internal stakeholders
• Prepares annual financial statements, and corporate tax returns
• Assists with preparation of quarterly planning reports
• Develops and maintains strong, customer‐focused relationships with all stakeholders
• Other duties as required
  
  

Qualifications

• Designated CPA with minimum 3 years of progressive experience in public practice
• Must have an eye for precision and accuracy
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Power BI
• Working knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications and / or Python
• Demonstrated critical-thinking skills to contextualize details
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization
• Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information
