Job Summary
The Career Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Career Services department at CIMT College. The primary objectives include achieving high employment rates for graduates within their field of study within six months of course completion and ensuring timely placement of students into practicum/internship positions within one to two days of their course/Theory completion date. The Career Services Manager will develop and implement strategies, manage a team of career services professionals, and foster relationships with employers and industry partners to support student success.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Implementation
- Develop and implement a comprehensive career services strategy aligned with CIMT College’s mission and goals.
- Set departmental goals and KPIs, and create action plans to achieve them.
- Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and supervise the Career Services team, including Career Services Coordinators and other staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development for team members.
- Program Development and Enhancement
- Design and implement programs and services to enhance student employability, such as resume workshops, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Collaborate with academic departments to integrate career readiness into the curriculum.
- Employer Engagement and Partnership Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and alumni to create employment and practicum/internship opportunities for students.
- Organize and oversee employer engagement events such as job fairs, networking sessions, and on-campus recruitment activities.
- Student Support and Counseling
- Provide high-level career counseling and support to students and alumni.
- Oversee the development of individualized career plans and ensure students receive appropriate guidance and resources.
- Data Management and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze career services data, including employment rates and practicum/internship placements.
- Prepare detailed reports on departmental performance and outcomes for senior management.
- Alumni Relations
- Foster ongoing relationships with alumni to support their career development and leverage their networks for current students.
- Organize alumni events and create opportunities for alumni to engage with the college.
- Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of career services programs and initiatives, and implement improvements based on feedback and industry trends.
- Stay informed about best practices in career services and higher education to ensure the department remains innovative and effective.
- Employment Rate KPI:
- Achieve an employment rate of at least [specific percentage] within the field of study for graduates within six months of course completion.
- Regularly review and report on employment outcomes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Practicum/Internship Placement KPI:
- Ensure that 90% of students are placed in practicum/internship positions within one to two days of their course completion date.
- Maintain a network of industry contacts and develop new practicum/internship opportunities.
- Team Development:
- Conduct bi-weekly team meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and share best practices.
- Provide professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Employer Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with at least [specific number] new employers each quarter.
- Organize a minimum of [specific number] employer engagement events per semester.
- Bachelor’s degree in Career Counseling, Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in career services, recruitment, or a related area, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain employer relationships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and career services management software.

- Some travel may be required to meet with employers, attend job fairs, and participate in professional development activities.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to support student events and activities.
