Zepf Solutions, a Barry-Wehmiller company and global supplier of packaging machinery, is looking for Field Service Technician. In this role you will travel up to 75% of the time to client sites to service, install, and maintain packaging equipment.

Field Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform system integration, machine commissioning, installations, rebuilds, setup, and repairs.
• Perform system installation on equipment to meet the customer’s performance requirements.
• Fit and assemble components according to specifications using proper tools and verify conformance of parts.
• Assemble, set-up, repair, and operate machine to verify functionality, machine capability, and performance.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently.
• Instruct customer personnel in the safe operation and maintenance of newly installed or rebuilt equipment.
• Develop relationships and work closely with our customers, sales, customer service, engineering, and manufacturing personnel.
• Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, for example ordering repair parts.
• Communicate information regarding changes made to customer equipment to appropriate internal departments technical documentation updates.
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the service / machine building industry.
• Knowledge of general labeling, packaging equipment and packaging lines.
• Experience or familiar with high-speed rotary labelers (Krones preferred).
• Knowledge of Seamer machines is an asset.
• Experience with pressure sensitive hot melt and cold glue applications.
• No restrictions on travel, must have a valid passport.
• Knowledge of electrical, PLC programs, VFD controls required.
