GEI Consultants is looking for an Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join our growing team at the Barrie office. Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Communicate with clients and project teams to coordinate and execute project deliverables.
- Conduct and oversee field investigations, including sampling of soil, groundwater, and surface water quality.
- Prepare detailed reports for environmental assessments such as Phased ESAs, DSS, Hydrogeological Studies, Landfill Monitoring Reports, excess soil management, ECA, and PTTW/EASR applications.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines to achieve project goals.
- Prepare proposals and provide cost estimates
- Some assignments may require working outside of regular work hours.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in environmental science or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, AquiferTest, PowerPoint, and other relevant software tools.
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation, soil science, geochemistry, and the use of level loggers.
- Comfort with both office and field work, including working in various environmental conditions.
- Ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team settings.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
