Job Description

The System Administrator plays a key role in the day-to-day running of the company's IT infrastructure. They are responsible for setting up, maintaining and optimizing servers and systems to ensure optimum availability and performance. This role also involves solving technical problems, deploying new solutions and supporting end-users.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure and maintain operating systems (Linux/Windows), application software and security patches.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and optimize system performance for maximum efficiency
  • Technical Support: Provide level I3 technical support to users, resolve complex system problems and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage data backup and recovery procedures to prevent information loss
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation on system configuration, operating procedures and incident logs.
  • Cloud Services Management (Azure, AWS, GCP): Configure, manage and monitor services, including virtual machines, web applications, SQL databases and virtual networks.

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience as a system administrator, with good knowledge of Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems
  • Knowledge of network and security concepts in the cloud
  • Competence in managing network services and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Scripting skills (Powershell, Azure CLI) for task automation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
