Purpose of the Role::

The Business Analyst & Process Optimization Specialist, Private Wealth is a key driver of the effective scaling and operational execution of the Private Wealth division. Reporting to the Head of Business Management, this role is responsible for analyzing & assessing current business processes and workflows, identifying areas of inefficiency, and proposing solutions for improvement. The Business Analyst & Process Optimization Specialist plays a key role in the execution of enhanced processes, including documentation, training, monitoring and reporting.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the Private Wealth team's needs and effectively document business requirements.
  • Research, analyze, test and recommend changes to business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.
  • Develop and present analysis, findings and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision making.
  • Develop workflow, process documentation and project plans, including flowcharts, process maps, and diagrams.
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans.
  • Represent Private Wealth in cross-functional projects, escalating risks & issues to Private Wealth leadership.
  • Support cross-functional activities and working sessions during projects' design and implementation phases.
  • Design and prepare documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes. Deliver training to impacted business units as needed.
  • Work closely with different teams to ensure the successful execution of new processes.
  • Monitor the effects of process improvements and adjusting as necessary.
  • Collect and study operational and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to help others understand business performance.
  • Work closely with the Data & Reporting team to translate the business needs to obtain the most effective data & reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient with process mapping and documentation tools.
  • Highly proficient with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
  • Highly proficient and experience as a Salesforce super-user.
  • Excellent Project Management skills including the ability to manage timelines, scope, and deliverables.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent Change Management skills, including knowledge of relevant change methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification is an asset.
  • Financial services, wealth or asset management experience is an asset.

Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $88,000 - $108,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
