Job Summary
The Auto Inspection Operator will be responsible for operating and setting up the Automated Card Inspection Machine. The Operator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating with the personal resources that are associated with the daily production of this machine. He or she reports daily totals to the Senior Leadhand and performs daily audit functions on the work in progress. This is an 18-month contract for Afternoon Shift.
Primary Responsibilities
Work Experience:
The Auto Inspection Operator will be responsible for operating and setting up the Automated Card Inspection Machine. The Operator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating with the personal resources that are associated with the daily production of this machine. He or she reports daily totals to the Senior Leadhand and performs daily audit functions on the work in progress. This is an 18-month contract for Afternoon Shift.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Auto Inspection Machine as required
- Train new operators and assist in evaluating their performance
- Responsible for checking production orders prior to the start of every shift for job requirements
- Work closely with Auxiliary Operators and Quality and Production personnel to define the inspection standards for the Auto Inspection Machine
- Responsible for meeting all Service Level Agreements (SLA's) deliverables
- Responsible for following quality checks and procedures set by Management and Quality Control Department
- Follow daily schedule and productivity standards set for Auto Inspection equipment by Senior Leadhand is mandatory
- Train new hires as required
- Organize, clean workstation and machine after each shift
- Complete all daily paperwork and audit control sheets daily
- Comply with G+D Environmental, Health & Safety policies, procedures and report any Environment, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Work Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an asset as a Machine Operator is preferred
- Basic computer knowledge is an asset
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Must be organized and a good multi-tasker
- High school diploma is preferred
- Must be required to work on a rotating shift. (Days/Afternoons/Evenings)
- Overtime and weekend work at times may be required
- Safety shoes/boots are mandatory on the Production/Manufacturing floor
- Ability to work standing on both feet 100% of the time while operating machinery
- Ability to lift 10 – 50 lbs from the floor, up to waist level, frequently
- Ability to frequently bend, lift, walk, crouch and kneel
- Requires keen eyesight and alertness to detail
- May be required to work long periods of time at the computer screen
