About The Role

As ATB Wealth’s next Financial Advisor, you will be working under the leadership of the Regional Director and will be responsible for the investment advice and holistic financial planning needs of existing and prospective clients. This includes the development of robust external centers of influences coupled with a primary branch network to further enhance the customer experience at ATB. You will be working with a team of advisors and private investment counselors to deliver a customer obsessed wealth experience, drive strong relationships with partners, and strengthen our brand presence across Alberta.

Accountabilities

  • Master the basics of holistic investment planning, equip yourself with the industry leading expertise and support our clients’ needs as they become more complex
  • Leverage specialized experts to help provide trusted advice in a smart, simple and helpful way that is personalized to each and every client
  • Deeply understand our clients and commit to always having their best interests at heart. You will work towards earning the trust of our clients, to not just advise clients but to challenge them to make the best financial decisions possible
  • Strive to make our clients time richer, happiness deeper and aspirations closer as we ensure that they are supported throughout their journey
  • Help them to connect the dots between their wealth and aspirations and support them at every stage of their lives

Skills, Experience & Requirements

  • 5 years of sales and customer experience in the financial services industry (preferably Wealth Management)
  • Ability to be immediately registered with CIRO (completion of Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course)
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or a related field (equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered)
  • Completed or working towards a financial planning designation would be considered an asset
  • Effective relationship building, communication and discovery skills. This will help you to establish relationships with various centers of influences including branches, your advisors team and other teams across the organization
  • The ability to meet or exceed required sales goals, by continuously driving to find opportunities to reach new customers
  • Ability to embrace existing technology to maximize productivity, enhance processes and support our client experience
  • Pursuing the QAFP and CFP designation is expected as part of this role
