The Opportunity

Are you a subject matter expert in ProdView? Do you have a passion for accurate numbers? We are #hiring a Senior Production Technologist for our Calgary head office. If you are technically strong and adept at working collaboratively with others, we want to hear from you!

You will manage / oversee day to day activities related to ProdView, an Oil & Gas Field Data Capture Software and work with different stakeholders such as field operations, asset teams, and production accounting. You will join a team that values its people and provides work with purpose.

What You Will Do

• Provide guidance and program oversight of ProdView, including asset set up, management, and training
• Act as the subject matter expert for ProdView and provide mentorship to field administrators
• Support ProdView tickets and resolve them efficiently
• Set up and implement processes to ensure all new wells are set up and allocating accurately
• Create standard reports in ProdView based on requests from different workflows
• Ensure accurate weekly production and complete weekly reporting
• Accurately manage and document field flow changes / reroutes
• Ensure all third party information is received and reported accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all uploads (Zedi / ProTrend / DS, etc.) are completed on time and accurately
• Set up and implement processes to ensure all imported data from DS / Zedi / NetFlow etc. are loading and allocating correctly
• Create procedures for acquisitions and dispositions of wells / facilities / assets
• Identify and define data needed (historical tests, tickets, tanks, meters, and DT)
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 10 years’ experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry, with a minimum of five years of experience with volumetric reporting software such as ProdView, ProdMan, Petrinex, Zed Access, Data Scavenger, SCADA, Metrix, and ProMonitor
• A clear understanding of regulatory, production accounting, and measurement requirements
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex data-related issues
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; demonstrated ability to effectively convey technical information and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A Diploma in Technology or a related field is considered an asset
• A Valid Canadian Driver’s License is required
