We are looking for a Superintendent level 3 to join our Construction team in Ottawa! The incumbent acts as the on-site leader by coaching other Site Superintendents and communication with external parties to organize and coordinate all aspects of the construction projects, from start-up until final delivery. Incumbents in this position are able to manage all aspects of large projects including scheduling, cost control and quality control. The incumbent also assists in the development and build of remarkable buildings, fostering enduring relationships with our people, partners and clients. What you will do as a Superintendent:

Coordination of work

• Responsible for the overall coordination of on-site work schedules
• Assist in the management of site meetings
• Ensure that the execution of work and site cleanliness meets Broccolini standards
• Collaborate with the Site Superintendents to respond to all on-site requests
• Guide Microsoft project schedule in order to manage priorities and to meet milestones
• Ensure that deficiencies are fixed and the highest level of quality control is maintained
• Communicate impact of schedule changes to Site Superintendent – Level 3
  
  

Health & Safety

• Manage all site related Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Provide support to subordinates on health & Safety issues
• When required, assist the other Site Superintendents in applying the Health & Safety policies and procedures
  
  

Document Control

• Ensure the daily work reports and work plans are current
• Review sub-trade contracts
• Oversee the coordination of deficiency lists
• Oversee the documentation of arrival, maintenance, and delivery of rental equipment
  
  

LEED / Carbon Neutral / Green Initiatives

• In conjunction with the project management team, collect and file all submittals for these types of projects
  
  

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or post-secondary diploma in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent
• A minimum of 10-15 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of the construction field
• Exceptional communication skills
• Above-average organizational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, to manage time effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to coach and mentor other Superintendents
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office software; Tech-savvy with various computer software’s
