Agropur is looking for a MRO & Spare Parts Supervisor to join is Truro team.
The MRO & Spare Parts Supervisor supports plant and equipment reliability by managing the spare parts inventory and sourcing parts and material. This role requires ensuring safe day to day operations of the MRO storeroom and associated storage areas, by maintaining optimal stock levels, forecasting needs, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

- Salary range 004: 67 700$ to 84 600$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
More specifically, the Truro MRO & Spare Parts Supervisor responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement efficient workflows for stock management and spare parts availability.
- Identify and ensure the availability of critical spare parts.
- Establish inventory controls and maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, obsolete part removal, and non-moving part reviews.
- Implement a process for returning and restocking unused parts.
- Review the automatic reorder process to ensure it meets departmental needs.
- Organize, clean, and manage data within the CMMS, including entry and updates of Bills of Material (BOM).
- Develop visibility into parts inventory and value using the CMMS.
- Improve parts management in collaboration with the Maintenance team.
- Document parts receiving and inspection processes to verify compliance with specifications.
- Develop processes to ensure required parts are available for planned jobs.
- Implement a system for kitting, staging, and delivering items for planned work orders.
- Ensure accuracy in records and documentation related to storeroom activities (requisitions, procurement, receipt, storage, distribution, returns, delivery, shipping, obsolescence).
- Manage repairable part returns.
- Handle daily interactions with OEM suppliers and vendors.
- Keep the storeroom clean, organized, and properly labeled.
- Gather stakeholder input to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
- Identify and recommend improvements and corrective actions to optimize operations.
- Develop and conduct training programs for new employees and annual refresher courses on storeroom access and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures to meet plant goals and KPIs.
- Restrict storeroom access to authorized personnel only.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to storeroom activities.
- Utilize interpersonal and leadership skills to resolve team issues and foster a positive work environment.
- College diploma or High School Diploma.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in team management in a unionized environment.
- Familiarity with MRO parts and inventory; ability to properly identify a wide variety of common MRO parts & components such as pumps, fans, motors, compressors, etc.
- Proficient in excel, other Microsoft programs, CMMS system (SAP, Maximo, MP2, MLS, etc.)
