Job Description

Statistical Data Accumulation:

  • Accumulate, compile, and analyze data for comprehensive departmental monthly reports and charts, ensuring all key metrics are accurately represented. This involves gathering data from multiple sources, performing detailed analysis to identify trends, and creating clear, actionable insights that support decision-making.
  • Analyze distribution data to monitor the flow of products and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and generate reports on distribution performance, providing actionable insights for management
  • Assist in the implementation of new distribution strategies and systems to enhance operations
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and carriers to ensure effective partnership and service levels
  • Perform cost analysis to recommend cost-saving initiatives within the distribution process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to logistics or transportation discrepancies
  • Create and process purchase orders for the facility, ensuring accurate product quantities, pricing and delivery schedules
  • Review customer freight invoices and customer fines, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms, and addressing any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Update Mercury Gate and SAP systems regularly to ensure all carrier rates are accurate and properly loaded. This includes adding new locations in the Mercury Gate rating files as needed
  • Maintain relevant codes in both SAP and Mercury Gate for the Oakville facility, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency

Other

  • Maintain the MSDS/SDS Distribution binder and collaborate with the Planning Department to ensure that all MSDS/SDS binders are updated accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with safety regulations
  • Perform STOP audits as per the scheduled times to ensure safety and compliance standards are consistently met across the facility
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring cross-departmental collaboration to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in distribution, logistics or supply chain analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word a requirement
  • Microsoft AO is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
