Description

We are looking for 1 energetic, service-oriented, passionate, and caring, Patient Care Specialist to join our team at the Canadian Dental Services head office on a full-time basis.

This is an on-site role and requires availability on the weekend - the days off will be Thursday and Friday.

This candidate will work to ensure we provide support to our clinics and their patients, in a fast-paced centralized call center environment at head office contacting patients directly via inbound/outbound virtual channels (phone, chat, email etc..) daily. Must be proficient at navigating multiple systems simultaneously, with a proven ability to influence.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform New Patient interviews/patient relations.
  • Support our clinics and our patients by ensuring we fill and maintain full schedules.
  • Help our patients by booking or changing appointments and reducing cancellations.
  • Speak with interested new patients and guide them to choose the right location for them.
  • Tracks and calls patients with incomplete treatment plans; send follow-up letters.
  • Lead informed conversations about treatment, and ensure our patients have all the support and information they need to stay healthy and smiling.
  • Recognizes client rights and the inherent dignity of the client by respecting privacy and maintaining confidentiality.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in any front-line facing customer service environment.
  • Dental knowledge and knowledge of dental insurance is preferred
  • Ability to connect, build rapport and trust with patients
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems and accurately book appointments and document notes
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness, efficiency, and quality.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Organized, self starter with a drive for success.
  • Excellent communication skills, poise, confidence, and professional appearance.
  • Patient services orientation; creating a safe and effective environment.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm with the ability to think fast, and change direction seamlessly.

Working Conditions

Works in an office or at a desk with a computer, a phone, fax, e-mail, and visual tools such as models, PowerPoint presentations, and photos from the patients' database of before and after treatments.
