About The Work Environment

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto and Vancouver offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About You

You are an experienced, entrepreneurial, and operationally savvy sales expert in the payment solutions space. You are passionate, involved, and eager to achieve. You are noticed for your organizational skills, and you are confident in your sales and partnership abilities. You have developed subject matter knowledge in payments and you are looking to take the next step with an entrepreneurial and agile organization.

About The Qualifications

  • Minimum 7-10 years of sales experience in the payments industry, including expertise in acquiring, issuing, and payment processing solutions within the North American marketplace. Proven success in sales within the banking or fintech sectors is highly preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to establish, nurture, and grow relationships with key stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally, consistently building trust, credibility, and long-term partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in sales strategy and execution, including lead generation, closing deals, and managing sales pipelines. A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of regulations, and industry standards, particularly in payments, banking, and fintech.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities, balancing client needs and sales targets to meet deadlines and drive success.

About The Day-to-day

  • Drive new client acquisition and build long-term relationships by offering comprehensive payments solutions. Leverage sales expertise to identify opportunities within existing client portfolios for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to capture new business, build robust pipelines, and execute tactical plans to achieve sales targets and drive revenue.
  • Act as the client advocate internally, ensuring their needs and interests are consistently prioritized while delivering outstanding service and value.
  • Present and interact with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and with clients, building credibility and trust across the board.
  • Become the go-to expert on clients' businesses and payment needs. Analyze their operations and provide customized payment solutions that drive efficiency and growth.
  • Identify and act on new sales opportunities, proposing relevant fintech solutions and payment products that help clients improve performance, compliance, and profitability.
  • Limited travel within Canada for client meetings and occasional travel to U.S. industry conferences or trade shows.

Compensation

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary. Salary for this position will vary between $145,000 and $160,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possess. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
