As an experienced Senior Project Manager in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will manage large-scale building and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - while working closely with our client groups and subcontractors and acting as an integral part of our projects team.   

What You Will Do

  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve the project goals and vision.
  • Support your project management teams to develop and drive the construction schedule ensuring that completion dates and milestones are met.
  • Apply your financial management experience to plan, manage and respect project budgets, costs and associated purchasing.
  • Share your knowledge and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team members.
  • Be an expert in risk management to ensure any associated project risk is minimized.
  • Take pride in compiling and completing companywide project reports.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project.
  • Apply project-specific safety standards, promoting Pomerleau’s HS&E standards and complying with relevant OH&S acts, regulations, and codes universally.
  • Manage a team of direct reports including Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers, providing coaching, mentoring and training on industry best practices.

This role could be for you if you have

  • 10+ years’ experience in Project Management the ICI construction industry.
  • Must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Secret Level Clearance.
  • University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational prowess, influential abilities, adept problem-solving, ensuring project success amidst diverse challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as building codes and associated legislation.
  • Be a champion and role model for quality and all health and safety best practices.
  • Experienced working with scheduling software, knowledge and experience working with P6 considered a strong asset.

Additional Assets Include

  • Fluent in both official languages, both written and oral.
