Are you passionate about fostering meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities and making a positive impact? WSP Canada is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Regional Indigenous Relations Leader to join our team in Northern Canada, to support our commitment to Indigenous Relations.
This role can be based in Whitehorse, YT, or Yellowknife, NT.

What you can expect to do here:
- Work in coordination with the Northern Canada Market Leader, and National Director, Indigenous Relations, and in collaboration with other Regional Indigenous Relations Leaders.
- Strengthen existing, and develop new relationships with Indigenous communities and groups in the Region.
- Connect with Indigenous businesses.
- Work with sector managers and project leaders to develop project plans which incorporate Indigenous people.
- Attend key events and conferences that contribute to WSP’s Indigenous Relations priorities.
- Support WSP Canada’s approach to Indigenous Relations.
- Support WSP Canada’s commitment and implementation of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) Certification.
- Support WSP Canada’s Sustaining Partnership with the First Nations Major Projects Coalition (FNMPC).
- A degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Sciences, Public Relations, or a related field. Other combinations of qualifications and experience may also be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Indigenous Relations, community engagement, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and issues, particularly in Northern Canada.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations.
- Experience in representing an organization at key events and conferences.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) Certification process.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing Indigenous Relations and supporting Indigenous communities.
