Job Description:
- Utilize the Vital Information Management System (VIMS) and Condition Based Monitoring programs to track trends impacting component or machine life.
- Analyze major component failures and downtime reports, providing actionable recommendations for process and operational improvements.
- Schedule and conduct customer visits, set agendas, and prepare monthly update reports.
- Deliver detailed technical analyses and service recommendations to customers.
- Maintain open lines of communication with all supportive departments to ensure timely and accurate maintenance and repair recommendations.
- Quickly escalate any machine-down situations to the appropriate individuals or groups.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive library of technical issues.
- Ensure the availability and optimal performance of customer machines.
- Perform regular fleet inspections, analyze data, and recommend maintenance or repair activities.
- Experienced Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or significant mechanical experience.
- Experience in a customer facing role is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter capable of working independently and within a team.
- Highly adaptable with strong interpersonal skills for diverse work environments.
- Knowledge of safety standards.
- Willingness to travel within the region or reside locally.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract (annual review required).
- 5x2 Monday - Friday schedule.
- Work is done in Fort McMurray area, can consider Edmonton applicants willing to travel frequently.
