Are you a certified Welder? Are you passionate about safety and do you want to join our dynamic maintenance team at our Syncrude Mildred Lake site?
You will be able to use your expertise for the maintenance and repair of our assets by performing predictive and preventative maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and to a high quality to ensure optimum reliability and availability.
Minimum Requirements:
Suncor's operations include oil sands development, production and upgrading; offshore oil and gas; petroleum refining in Canada and the U.S.; and the company's Petro-Canada retail and wholesale distribution networks (including Canada's Electric Highway, a coast-to-coast network of fast-charging electric vehicle stations).

You will be able to use your expertise for the maintenance and repair of our assets by performing predictive and preventative maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and to a high quality to ensure optimum reliability and availability.
Minimum Requirements:
- Five years post apprenticeship welding experience
- A Valid Alberta Journeyman Welder Certificate or an Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyman Welder Certificate
- A valid B pressure ticket
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of SAP work history
- Fabrication and repair of pressure components and piping, as duties vary from piping to pressure vessel and structural applications in a large, multi-disciplined shop
- Execute all planned and break in welding repairs
- Operate company-provided equipment and vehicles in a safe manner
- Evaluate maintenance procedures, and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency and adaptability to setup and production
- You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred Lake site in Fort McMurray
- The shift schedule is 5 days on, 4 days off / 4 days on, 5 days off
- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
