General Summary
The successful candidate will join the Display IP Design and Implementation team in developing leading edge display solutions in Qualcomm SoC's. We are looking for individuals that possess internal drive and keen desire to learn on the job. You will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers and verification engineers and will be responsible for the IP design development and integration within the display sub-system.
Key Responsibilities
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.

General Summary

You will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-site team of architects, designers and verification engineers and will be responsible for the IP design development and integration within the display sub-system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop module specifications and follow through with design and programming specifications
- Provides technical expertise for next generation initiatives and design automation
- Model and analyze performance, area, power, and system cost tradeoffs for different micro-architectures. Help drive design decisions to optimize design quality of results.
- Synthesis, Timing Constraints, Lint, Power Analysis Tasks using industry standard tools (i.e. Design Compiler, Genus, Spyglass, etc).
- Implement modules and sub-systems in Verilog RTL
- Work closely with the design verification team to define verification methodology, review test plans and develop reference and bus-functional models
- Implement and debug tests at the module, sub-system and SoC levels throughout the ASIC development cycle (pre- and post-silicon)
- Develop and update technical documentation on an ongoing basis
- Make significant contributions to silicon debug and analysis
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work legally in Canada
- Strong understanding of basic ASIC/VLSI design concepts
- Some experience with HDL languages such as Verilog or VHDL
- Some experience and comfortable working in a Linux environment
- Some experience with scripting languages such as perl, python, tcl, etc.
- Some experience with synthesis concepts and tools.
- Some experience with timing constraints and static timing analysis preferred.
- Some experience with low power design methodologies and measurements.
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and debugging skills
- Strong communication skills and works well in a team environment
