PwC is focused on Building Trust and Solving Important Problems. This role is pivotal in enabling this. The ability to build trust with our important Manitoba Public Sector clients and bridge to how PwC can help them to solve their important problems is a challenging role. It encompasses understanding the opportunities and challenges that are being faced in the Manitoba Government and then having a broad understanding of PwC’s capabilities in order to put forward eloquent solutions for these opportunities. This role is primarily focused on business development in Manitoba’s Public Sector but also requires engagement in the projects – the best form of business development is good delivery.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this level include but are not limited to:

  • Play an active leadership role on the Prairies Public Sector team, working closely with other members of the team.
  • Develop market awareness and opportunities with provincial and municipal clients in the Manitoba marketplace
  • Attend and organize key industry events in order to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight, an understanding of client strategy/challenges and represent the firm in the marketplace
  • Work with account teams to set sales and revenue objectives, develop account strategies, create account plans and monitor results
  • Work with multiple PwC competencies on an integrated basis to proactively develop strong client relationships, identify opportunities and sell work
  • Work and collaborate with Global PwC colleagues in the Government and Public Sector Industry to increase PwC’s relevance in the market by bringing global assets and resources within key accounts where there may be opportunities for growth and to help our clients solve their most important problems

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve:

  • An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
  • Minimum university bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a series of progressive sales, business development and account management roles, within a professional services firm or large corporation and focused on the Manitoba government and public sector clients
  • Previous experience in the delivery of digital transformation, operational efficiency programs and IT projects
  • Established presence within the public sector community
  • Strong relationships within Manitoba and municipal governments, including ministries and agencies
  • Ability to collaborate within a highly matrixed and multi-line services environment
  • Understand Manitoba procurement processes and nuances of responding to and evaluating RFP’s
  • Strong written, presentation and communication skills
