Finance Business Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Financial Business Analyst contractor with expertise in Accounting Systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, to support requirements, design, implementation, testing, and optimization efforts. This role focuses on analyzing business requirements, solution design, and testing, while providing insights on best practices to enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage expertise in Business Central (primarily) and related Payroll, HRIS, Scheduling/Timekeeping, and Accounting systems to address complex business needs.
• Identify, analyze, and implement business process, policy, and system improvements that enhance financial operations, reporting, and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external software & service providers to define and implement solutions.
• Design and implement enhancements to Business Central to meet business needs, leading testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance testing) and supporting the deployment of new modules and features.
• Develop documentation, including business requirements, process workflows, test scripts, training & end-user materials, and deployment & support materials.
• Deliver training to end-users as required on system, process, and/or policy changes.
• Create reports, procedures, and scripts to support data analysis and business processes, identifying opportunities for further optimization.
• Support the integration of Business Central with existing business operations to ensure a smooth transition.
• Provide expertise in financial report writing and data analysis to provide insights to payroll, accounting, and other teams.
